How are pousadas diffferent from normal hotels and resorts?
Firstly pousadas are normally much smaller. The ones on this list have a minimum of 2 suites, and rarely over 15.
Secondly, pousadas are all individually owned, and the owners usually live on-site or nearby, so there is a more informal atmosphere.
